On a Photography Kick
So, I’ve been on a photography kick lately. I don’t have fancy equipment, but my little point-and-shoot-plus-Photoshop-magic and my iPhone-plus-Best-Camera-app have been keeping me quite amused lately.

Wedding Day!
Hooray! Ryan and I got married!!! I know it was over a month ago, but now we have our professional photos (yay!) and you get to see them! Here are some highlights, all taken by Beth’s Photography, who also did our videography:

This cake was definitely not a lie.
The ring bearers were supposed to give their ring pillows to the Maid of Honor (my beautiful sister) and one of the Best Men (Ryan’s friend Chris). Instead, the boys gave both pillows to Ryan, and because it was so unbelievably cute everyone got a good laugh.

Our First Christmas Tree
Jessica helped me put up our Christmas tree tonight! And since I have a camera and Photoshop, here are pictures of the process:
Jessica helped me fluff out the “branches”. This is the tree my family used while I was growing up; Mom gave it to me this year since Ryan and I need one for our house.
I have built up just enough ornaments over the years (I had a tiny tree before) to make it worth decorating.
And voilà! We has teh tree!

A thrifty Halloween, and upcoming sewing projects
I haven’t done a ton of sewing, in part because I’m about to sit down and make a whole bunch of Christmas gifts. As a teaser, though, the image above is of a section of a prototype for something I’m pretty pleased with. Expect a tutorial after it’s all finished.

Honeymoon in Chicago, Part 3
The final day of our honeymoon dawned gray and foggy, and it misted rain the entire day. Chicago is just as pretty when it’s raining as it is when it’s sunny, so I couldn’t complain.
