Photos: Scrapapalooza
Traci, Lea Ann, and I have been making a habit of attending the Scrapapalooza events held about three times a year by Scrapbook Generation and Star 105.1. The most recent was held June 26 at Remington’s, and I made sure to take lots of photos.
Partway through the off-and-on stormy day, the power went out!
Luckily, it came back on within a few minutes.
Our day lasted from about 8:45 am to 9:30 pm. That’s a LOT of scrapbooking!

The “My Blog is Carbon Neutral” program
Via EcoSalon this morning: the My Blog is Carbon Neutral initiative. The goal is to plant a tree for each participating blog/website in Plumas National Forest in Northern California, helping to reforest after wildfires. Since it’s easy to join, I figured why not? More information is available here.
Helping out a fellow Etsy seller
Many of you may have heard me tell of my love for the website Regretsy, featuring hilarious and sometimes awful items for sale on Etsy. One of the things I love about Regretsy is the site’s support of Etsians in need.
Recently Nikki of TinyAirplanes and her fiance Jake were robbed of all they own. Within 30 minutes of their plight being featured on Regretsy, buyers had contributed by purchasing every single item they had for sale.
I’m helping out too: 100% of profits from HappenstanceHandmade from orders placed between 6/15 and 6/30 will be donated to Nikki and Jake. It isn’t much, for my store is new and small, but if you have a moment and a few dollars to help them get back on their feet, it would be much appreciated.
